ive been doing the ali vesas' quest and the sultan asked me to make alliances with other ports and i dont know how to do it, can anyone please help me on this? and can someone please tell me what ports are the best to make alliance with...any help will be much appreciated...thnx;)

make alliances means you've to invest in a shipyard or marketplace in a port. go to shipyard or markeplace and then invest as many as you want. check to the inn for port info. it will tell you percentages of alliances.

if the port already allied to other country, keep investing in them will bring the country to hate you and someday attack your ship.

i usually invest in athens, candia, ragusa, venice, and nearby ports for beginning. make sure you don't invest in a port that've alrady allied w/ turks.

Alliance with 2 ports:

choose Venice and Athens. they have high rating in economy and industry. this will add your monthly income from sultan.

Alliance with 5 ports:

since trebizond, jaffa, beirut and alexandria will be automatically allied with turkey, choose kaffa, azov, salonika, candia and nicosia or ragusa. they're easy to switch sides :laugh: don't worry about other nation's merchant. they're stupid enough to sail between the islands of those ports. also, other turkey's merchants will keep the alliance.

Alliance with 10 ports:

go conquer the northern parts of europe! enjoy playing the game of taking and losing!

*those traders are really don't have other useful and meaningful way to waste their lifetime*

yo man, there are no french ports in this game. English, dutch, portuguese, turkish, spanish and italian, but no french. Besides, the italians suck and are the poorest, worst developed fleets in the game. If your gonna oppose the turks, then do it with the dutch or portuguese since they're the two real powerhouse countries.
