You mentioned Ice Hockey, I played Blades of Steel. My friend would always start fights and my goalie would have to work overtime...I could not win fights but I could keep him from scoring!! :p

Any information that I provide is based on the SNES version unless otherwise specified. I have thousands of hours into New Horizons and I have played it since it was released in the US on the SNES.

I know Blade of Steels was more realistic but there was something about Ice Hockey I and was really good at it.
You'd be lucky if you could keep the puck longer than two seconds. 😀
I think the trick was to push the A, B buttons very fast to steal the puck, hit a player and skate faster.
I bet I would suck at it now since I haven't played in years.

Okay I've watched the entire Three Kingdoms series (96 episodes). That was cool. The only thing that bothered me about it is that there were some differences with the book.
Nonetheless it was very interesting! It made me want to re read my book.

I bought that game new and could never get it to work on my computer, even called Koei (SF). I should try it again, it seems like the kind of game I would enjoy.

I'd have to use my OLD computer because I have the 3.5 disk.

Oh good luck , the game is similar to Bandit Kings of Ancient China , another games from KOEI are Aerobiz and Aerobiz Supersonic . These management games are very good .

Yeah, I played a lot of Bandit Kings...and both of the Aerobiz games, but Bandit Kings is the one I've played almost as much as New Horizons...well maybe not because I mastered it pretty quickly. I wrote the faq on Gamefaqs (shameless plug) for Bandit Kings.

My favorite other KOEI game is "Gemfire." You can see a lot of neat-looking stuff with that one, like a Fire Dragon's flame breath pitted against a Pastha's water-drench, Wyverns flying over trees & hills, and 6 different magicians with 6 different attack forms in action.

Agreed. Gemfire was/is an excellent game. So is the WWII strategy game Operation Europe by Koei. It's not for everyone obviously, as these sorts of games require a massive amount of patience and a little learning curve but for those of us who like that sort of gameplay, they're a little slice of heaven.
