Post Other Koei games

I have enjoyed a lot of the Koei games that were published on the NES and on the SNES. Are there other Koei games that you enjoy?

I especially enjoyed Inindo, Way of the Ninja and still wish there was a sequel to that game. One of my favorite games is Bandit Kings of Ancient China.

I have played, and enjoyed, several other Koei games on the NES and the SNES. Games like Gemfire, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Genghis Khan, etc.

Anyway, this is to discuss other Koei games and to express your thoughts, etc.

Any information that I provide is based on the SNES version unless otherwise specified. I have thousands of hours into New Horizons and I have played it since it was released in the US on the SNES.

From games Koel to me met only Operation Europe - Path to Victory 1939-1945 sega of the version earlier. It also long strategy surprisingly worked with set of the interesting moments. The given game also deserves creation of a separate site.

I have Operation Europe and have had it for a long time, but I have only played it for about an hour. I need to dust off that game. I did play PTO and PTO2 a lot and the time period is the same. I don't know why I never got back to Operation Europe.

Since I haven't been impressed with any of the new games that are being produced, maybe I will finally play some of the games that I never got around to playing.

I have returned! I am sorry, that was absent more than week. The operation Europe is a strong game, in which we once played by hours and thought as to win this or that battle. In this game there are a lot of details, as well as in new horizons. However, the Operation Europe not so has enticed as novel waters. Though, not so for a long time I played in Operation Europe, and as, it was necessary to expect, has stayed many hours. Really, the games koel are infinite in the phenomenon!

Have you played another Koei game that would compare to Operation Europe?

People tend to hang onto their Koei games, so they always seem to be more expensive if you can find them. I was on a wait list for over a year when I was trying to get Rise of the Phoenix which was one of the few Koei games that I didn't have for the nes or the snes (that was released in the US). I think I only have two Koei games that were released after those systems.

I liked pretty much all the Koei games. I had Genghis Khan, Bandit Kings (very fun), Romance of the Three Kingdoms I,II,III, and IV ( I bought the novel by Luo Guanzhong, unabridged translation by Moss Robert in 4 volumes. I highly recommend it.), Nobunaga's Ambition,Rise of the Phoenix, etc.
There was one game not by Koei but I still enjoyed it a lot. It's called Shingen the Ruler. If you never played with it try to find the rom somewhere so you can play it using an emulator.

A side note about RTK series, I didn't like part 3 at all but part IV, Wall of Fire is good and you can create your own warriors and Masters.
I still play this one.

I have all of those games. Bandit Kings is one of my favorites. Did you know that it is also based on a novel? I think Bandit Kings may have been the original Suikoden game, but Konami did a lot more with Suikoden.

I played Shingen the Ruler again last year. I still like the first RTK the best, even though the second game added items which improved the game. And I love that Zhuge Liang is ALWAYS right in the second game. By the way the adviser says, "Chao Yun thrives on danger."

I don't have a NES anymore but I use emulators a lot.
My problem is that I can't play Bandit Kings and L'Empereur (another favorite) in any of my emulators. I'd love to play them again.
I also agree with you about RTK 1, it's still my favorite but I like Wall of Fire because of the custom rulers. I would like RTK 2 as much if it weren't for the warriors challenging each other automatically. It's frustrating when you invade a territory and you lose your best warrior because he lost a duel. My favorite thing is the ability to surprise the enemy by hiding in the woods.
