Post I made a web based game similar to UWNH

Hi Guys,

I created a MMO pirate game similar to UWNH. It uses HTML5 (so you need a fairly new browser).

It allows you to sail around, trade goods at ports, and sink and plunder other player's ships.

Feel free to try it out, and let me know what you think (and what you feel could be improved.

Thanks!
Rob

Constant Sail is a real-time web-based massive multiplayer online pirate game (MMO) where you take to the high seas to explore, trade, fight pirates, or even become a pirate yourself.

Wow, the ship prices are...uhh realistic! Is this based on a real world map or is this a fantasy world map?

Any information that I provide is based on the SNES version unless otherwise specified. I have thousands of hours into New Horizons and I have played it since it was released in the US on the SNES.

There is a link to the page below the small picture in the first post.

I haven't tried the game, but the post was made at the end of April this year so I'm guessing that it should still function.

Sometimes those messages are temporary, but if it doesn't work that is too bad because it looked interesting.

I did a little checking and constant sail is apparently playable. I haven't tried,
but if you google search the game there is a forum and a
wiki that will give you some basic info about playing the game.

Here is a little youtube clip:

As for the online version of UWNH I haven't played, in part
because I don't trust my computer and graphics to be able to play.
I've also heard a rumor that some of the players that paid for upgraded aspects
were taking advantage of those without paid upgrades. That is just a rumor
as far as I know,
so if anyone has any info about
UWNH online, please share.

Any information that I provide is based on the SNES version unless otherwise specified. I have thousands of hours into New Horizons and I have played it since it was released in the US on the SNES.

I've been wanting to make my own version of Uncharted Waters. I developed 3 characters, the battle mode, the story, etc, but I don't know how to make the game itself. I tried game maker but it's too complicated. After reading all the books I mentioned In my introductory post, I acquired a pretty good knowledge about shipbuilding, Crusades,Medieval trading, etc.
I'm a little frustrated about the fact that I can't make my game a reality.
I love New Horizon but I'd like to see some new options like sailing up rivers, building new ships, seeing new characters like the Knights of St-Johns, starting a game in Venice and serving the Doge instead of a King, starting earlier and use Marco Polo as a new character, or starting in China as Zheng He, or in India with a poor guy like Ali but Indian, etc.
There are so many possibilities...

I've always thought there should be someone beginning in India, but then I guess that would not be very historically accurate.
