I've always been a fan of open ended type games. I've spent my fair share of time (months?) playing Elite, Darklands, Pirates, EV, Evochron, Space Rangers ......... to name a few.

I'd like to now try New Horizons and I was wondering which version people prefer. From what little I've played the SNES version seems to be better but I'm not really sure.

What is your favorite and why?

Dont know why, when i was trying them out, i just liked it better :S
plus my SNES is the only one that works anymore

I see you mentioned you played Darklands... that is one of my all time favourite games... incredible gameplay.
