I am glad to see that there is a website for this excellent game.

Having gone through the game the old fashioned way, I'm now having fun with hexediting during my replay. I wonder if anyone has yet mapped out the save file... put together an information resource showing which hex bits correspond to which pieces of information.

As a point of example, I'm currently stuck near the North Pole with our good friend Ernst, whose two ships are being assaulted by approximately seventy-two bazillion enemy ships (give or take a few jillion), and I'd really like to not have to go alllll the way back to my previous save. I know how to muck with the enemy captain's stats (and my own), but I'd like to be able to reduce the size of his fleet, or the number of crewmen he has (or the number of crewmen I have, for that matter, being as I'm lightyears away from the nearest real port). It's no help being able to butcher him with a meterstick in a duel if I can't actually force a duel in the first place.

Anyway, I thought I'd ask. Thank you for your time.
