Hi All,

Everytime i try to split my cargo between my fleet, i get stuck with my cargo under remaining cargo section and there's no response despite selecting the ship desired for cargo placement?

Happens to any of you?

This happens to me too. Is this a bug in the PC version only? Or am I missing something? Help anyone? It's really annoying, especially when capturing trade ships that carry cargo.

I can tell you how to transfer cargo in the pc version if you are using the mouse. If you are trying to do that with the keyboard it should just be a matter of using the right keys to get to the same menu.

On the right side of the screen you have <Fleet>, <Crew>, <Info>, and <Navigation>.

To transfer your cargo click on <Fleet> which brings up another menu: Fleet Info, Ship Info, Rearrange, Scrap, Cargo Info, Log of Goods, and Transfer Cargo.

Click or highlight Transfer Cargo and another menu comes up with a list of your ships. Besides the ship name the only important info on this screen for transferring cargo is the Load which is shown as a percentage. Click or highlight the ship that you want to transfer cargo from.

This brings up another menu with the ships name and a list of the cargo starting with Water, Food, Lumber, Shot, and then sell-able cargo. Click or Highlight one of the items and you get a calculator looking image. Key in or use the mouse to click on the numbers to indicate how much you want to leave on the ship. If you want to transfer all of it off that ship then just click on the <enter> button on the calculator while the number is 0.

This takes the item from that ship into the other box that opened when the list of ships opened. Now you need to right click to get out of that ship and click on the ship you want the items transferred to.

When you have the right ship showing with its list of food, water, etc. highlight or click on the item in the list of goods for the ship (not in the cargo remaining box). If the item isn't listed there should be a space after the last item on the list that you can click on and it brings up that little calculator again. To transfer all of the item click the max key and then the enter key on the calculator, or you can enter a certain amount of the item by clicking on the numbers and then clicking on enter.

The reason that I don't like that it shows load percentage is that it doesn't tell you have much cargo space you have available on that ship, so you have to figure that out manually.

Did that help?

Any information that I provide is based on the SNES version unless otherwise specified. I have thousands of hours into New Horizons and I have played it since it was released in the US on the SNES.

Yes, it did. Very much so. Thank you for taking the time for such a thorough reply.

I had a feeling that the problem might be clicking the blank, below the last listed item.

Incidentally, you can only have 8 different types of sell-able cargo at a time in your fleet.
