Hi there hon. Well you're right, investing in ports till they support your country is one way to acquire fame in Trade. But it's certainly not the only way. Bear in mind as well that even if you gain 100% of a port's support for your country (Turkey, in this case), that doesn't mean that a month later they won't be giving all their support to some other country, like Portugal, due to Portuguese investments in the same port. Popular ports are fickle that way, so it's very likely that at least half of the ports you've invested in have been snatched away since your initial investment by other countries, in which case returning to those ports and re-investing in them afresh is like a clean slate as far as fame goes: you'll once more gain fame in Trade by re-gaining the full support of that port again.

I am assuming that you're playing 'Uncharted Waters: New Horizons' for the SNES. Another way is so simple, it often gets forgotten: go to the Guild in any port that has a Guild, and accept a Trade-related mission (Deliver Goods, Deliver Letter, etc).

By the way, you don't need to reach 50,000 points in Trade fame to complete the game dear. Though it is one of your goals, I understand. 🙂 Enjoy and happy sailing!
