Uncharted Waters New Horizons

* i'm hearing a few sailors swearing out this thread *

hey .. cheating is nice. besides, i've already beat the game. so, why couldn't i? 😉

these cheats are dedicated to:

- all poor sailors who want to be rich but hate to waste their time with trading
- all sailors who think that abilities mostly improve by god's will, not by training
- all king/sultan/governor hater
- all sailors who was born with bad luck for the rest of their life
- an old-ill pirate who wants to give his most precious-lovely ship (a tekkousen with goddess figurehead and carronades) to a young talented sailor before he passed away

first, you must do:

- MAKE COPY/BACKUP of file KOUKAI2.DAT
- get a nice-free hex editor. for example: Hackman, http://www.technologismiki.com/hackman/

notes:

- i choose Ali's adventure as an example. but all of these cheats are also work for other scenarios
- i recommend to save your game in the FIRST SLOT for beginning, except you're an expert in hex editing

2. around the port in 120 minutes, and receive your wealth and honor

- go to the bank, the pub, and the harbor to get 4000 gold coins in hand
- after exit harbor, SAVE GAME

- start your hex editor, open file KOUKAI2.DAT
- search/find for hex:

00 A0 0F 00

these hex represent:

Title (1st hex), Money (2nd, 3rd & 4th hex)

- replace them into:

09 FF FF FF

bingo! you will be a wealthy duke with 1677 gold ingots and 7215 gold coins in hand!

- save it and close hex editor

to choose other title, here's the value of the 1st hex above:

00 - no title
01 - page
02 - squire
03 - knight
04 - baronet
05 - baron
06 - viscount
07 - earl
08 - marquis
09 - duke
0A - sultan j/k 😉

4. matching ship's value and get carronades

- LOAD your save game
- go to the shipyard and enter
- remodel your ship's loading capacity. choose crew numbers at your will but choose MAXIMUM number of guns that your ship could load
- remodel your ship's guns with MAXIMUM number of CANNON
- remodel your ship's figurehead with DRAGON type
- exit the shipyard and SAVE GAME

- start your hex editor, open file KOUKAI2.DAT
- search/find for hex:

1B 1B 5A 4B 64 00 11

these hex represent:

Current Durability (1st hex), Max Durability (2nd hex), Taking (3rd hex), Power (4th hex), Max Guns filled (5th Hex), Type of Guns (7th hex)

- replace them into (for tekkousen):

64 64 50 55 64 00 17

bingo! now your tekkousen is filled with CARRONADES!

- save it and close hex editor

6. renaming the ship

this is not cheat.

think of it, you have an ultimate ship to beat those who dare to disturb you in sea-travel. but do you really think that pirates will scared to death after meeting you with your ship?

in the first look, perhaps. but after they see 'Savahni' name still attached in your ship, i don't think so. of course they will die, i'm sure of it, but because of laughing a lot.

just go to the shipyard and change the ship's name into something more scary like .. umm .. 'destroyer'? or something better than the words that have friendship meaning.
