I am currently playing as Ali and Turkey has been at war with Italy (Blockading) since the beginning of the game. When I try to go to an Italian port there's 3 soldiers at the dock blocking me from entering the town and I have to immediately leave. I can't complete the banker to Venice quest because of this, and furthermore if I enter Venice the game gets stuck. I can't leave because I get a "gotta take the banker to the bank" message and I can't leave, yet I'm blocked from going to the bank. My friendship with Italy is set at 0.

I have the SNES version but the game won't remember saves, I also have an SNES emulator which I played without problems for a while, but when I tried playing it after a long hiatus it now plays at super warp speed. I think the PC version is my last hope. Oh, and thanks for making the site, and thanks for the duels bug walkthrough. I can finally play as Joao again. 🙂

EDIT: Just noticed something else, Algiers is not on my map. I've discovered every single port in the game and most villages, I know exactly where Algiers is supposed to be and I've cruised back and forth from Tunis to Cueta with my lookouts at all kinds of different settings and I get nothing. Even when I stay right next to the oast for the entire trip. Not that it should matter, but I do own the telescope too. Now the 2 corsairs are lost. When I have a waitress investigate it says they are on their way to Algiers and gives their coordinates (They're the same as Algiers' coordinates) but I don't see them over there either. I think I may give up and try Joao again as Ali seems a bit glitchy.

Of the 2 corsairs one is where Algiers should be, the other is like 13s and 10e or something like that, forgot exact numbers on him. Both are supposedly headed to Algiers. All Privateers spawn there after being defeated, so after I killed all of them their replacements never really joined the game. Of the 3 replacements, one is where Algiers is supposed to be and the other 2 are at 487s and I think 3e. 487s is not a typo either.

I have noticed something strange, since defecting to England 9/10 ships on the water is English even though the English control 0 ports. The Spanish and the Dutch also own nothing yet I haven't seen their ships in years. Weird...

It seems to be a common problem that people can't figure out Dosbox.

It's an awesome program, but it's a little complex for the computer illiterate.
