The game is simple to figure out if you have already played Uncharted Waters. However, you will not be able to advance in the game with maps unless you know Japanese or can figure out where to go. Also, quests require you to memorize certain Japanese characters. This does not apply to me as I know Japanese.

I'm also interested in where you come up with this 2010 number.

I am from Singapore and my friends had gone to play on the taiwan client. I have been waiting ever since... Either launching in US/EU or SE Asia, I sure hope it comes soon.

It is an mmo I would actually play if it was ever released in english language (my Japanese is not to hot) I had such a wonderful time playing it. I urge anyone to do a trial if there is ever a promotion going on again. Oh, and go on Koei forums and harass them to make more Uncharted waters and less DW or whatever they would rather release here.

i've not read much of this whole topic, but there's a similar MMO out called "voyage century online" - free to play.
unfortunately it requires a lot of bandwidth and thus don't appeal to people with slow connection or a bandwidth Cap.
its strangely addictive, but after a month you don't really care anymore, or if you stopped a while and check back in, you don't see any of your friends around either.
