anyone recall the attempt we made on koei's main forum to translate the games uw3,4,5..?
they simply killed the whole thread.

what's this about myspace btw? i have an account there - Capt. Gloval i think. i'm not active.

Game petitions are dumb. There are a couple of reasons why I say this. The first is that most people do not know what they are doing. They don't know who to contact. They don't know the companies they are dealing with. The second reason is that in all likelihood a petition will be ignored because it is not a formal inquiry into the status of the game.

Here's a better idea. Contact representatives of KOEI Japan's Overseas Department to find out if the game has been licensed to an North American or European company yet. If it hasn't, inquire about sending some PR about doing so. If it has, then we're all happy, but you can casually ask who is publishing the game. If it is indeed KOEI USA we can bust their balls about non-response & being a horrible KOEI child company. If it is some other company, then we can wait patiently.

I haven't done this because I'm lazy. I also don't think the game will be published in NA/Euro and either no company will touch it or KOEI USA is just sitting on the rights doing nothing. It should be a fun project for anyone who is motivated and professional or a good liar enough to give us a professional briefing on the situation.

What better way to find out what the interest in the game is than use their network? In terms of gerbils response, I agree a more professional inquiry should be made to the koei company. Well, I have actually thought about this before, but there are people on this board who know a lot more about the company than I do. But I could probably figure it all out pretty easily.

I'll try to look into it, but I don't know if it will be as easy as it sounds...

I don't think you went through the correct directions to get your gamecity ID. It can be confusing, but you have to go thru 2 e-mails of confirmation. The first Id you get is not your gamecity ID, but really your gamecity "key" or identity.

anycase, why rush?
if you struggle with those messages now, imagine how it will be ingame with every button in another language?
- the game will be made in english in 2010 i read somewhere few months ago.
