Hello to all:

The site membership is steadily growing almost every day and I just wanted to thank everyone for their support by registering and taking part in the discussion boards.

Hopefully we can eventually get everyone to join, but in the meantime the site's numbers are growing very nicely and I just wanted everyone to know of the good things you are helping to do.

hey man this is just too awesome. I used to google Uncharted Waters 2 but nothing avail. This website is D best and complete. This may sound crazy and its an old game but you made this way too good. I used to own UW1 on Sega Genesis and I love the Heavy Galleons haha. UW2 is like a complete game and various characthers to choose from. I almost cried out of excitement when I found this website. Man, you rule!! I've UW in every computer I have now im in my laptop and going to load those soundfiles because Uw2 sound dont work in new computers...i cant wait to go around the world now. My friends think I'm crazy playing this old game..ahhh those landlubbers dont really understand. What the hell is warcraft which doesnt make any sense.

Thank you very much. It is encouraging to see so many enthusiastic players of this great classic. As soon as I took over the fan club list, I was wanting to do something good for the UWNH group out there spread out over the internet so I put down a little cash and brought you what you see here.

Let's do our best to always keep it alive and improving 🙂

If you invest heavily in one of the shipyards in the north atlantic a new ship unlocks. It kills the Heavy galleon! I think it was antwerp its been like 10 yrs omg!

You are correct 🙂

And actually...Antwerp gives you 2 different exclusive ships, not just one: the Frigate and the Full-Rigged Ship.

But to get these 2 ships, you have to pretty much max out the industry in the port by investing heavily for a few months on end.

Should only be attempted when you have a lot of free cash.

Then after that things only get sweeter because you'll have access to the Full Rigged Ship, which can be used very effectively as both a huge trading ship and of course as a hell-on-water 100-gun battleship that is more or less invincible...you'd have to be pretty dense to lose with one or especially several Full Rigged Ships. 😆

Full rigged ships r pretty slow and cant really out-rush a venetian galaess even with more crew. Probably a tekkousen will be a better ship, although it looks pretty ugly

There's more to it than this game. The series branched into 5 games:

Uncharted Waters
Uncharted Waters II: New Horizons
Uncharted Waters III: Japanese-title-that-I-don't-know
Uncharted Waters IV
Uncharted Waters Online

Sadly none was ported/translated after II. 🙁

I was talking with my friend Matt the other day and just happened to mention the UWNH games that needed translated. He said he has successfully translated several games before using a software program that specializes in such a thing, as well as general know-how...

I may be able to convince him to try the translation of the ISO a site member sent to me, but I don't know if he will be able to do it or not...

Also, while I'm on the subject, to the great site member who sent me the ISO: were you ever able to find the ISO of the other UWNH game to send to me as well??
