Post Problem with installing

Recently downloaded the version for the PC and when the installation is opened a screen with a box filled with X's appears and a button with 4 or 5 X's on it is below. It looks like a piece of text that has been changed to just X's. Also there is a cursor at the top of the box slightly to the right of centre. The problem is that nothing responds. The only thing that does anything is hitting Alt-F4 several times and then it all shuts down.

Any Suggestions?

Without installing, ust open the KOEI.COM file, i play the game easy without installing, just dont go dueling

1: Download and install Dosbox

2: Open the file containing Dosbox, Open the Dosbox conf file......use Notepad

3: Change the following values in your CONF file

fullscreen = true

cycles = 6000

This will make dosbox open in fullscreen mode and should give you the proper speed for the game......if it runs slow, increase the cycles, if it runs fast, decrease it...

4. Now you have to add a little code......scroll down to where it says (autoexec) should be the bottom of the file....

Replace with this:

[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
mount C E:\dosprog\
mount G G:\ -t cdrom
mount C C:\
C:

E:\dosprog\ is the location of my Uncharted Waters 2 files on my pc....change it to the location of your folder and voila

5: Now you can open up Dosbox and all you will see is a black screen, but it's ready to go

6: type in cd uw2nh and hit enter (replace uw2nh with whatever your folder name is)

7: type in koei and hit enter

8: The game should now fire up complete with music and duels.....since I discovered this, I haven't had a single problem whatsoever.....Thank the makers of Dosbox for allowing me to once again play my favorite game ever made!!!!!!

PS I created a special logical drive as E: specifically for the purpose of dos based programs. I think it's a good idea to keep them isolated from any xp files you might have, but I suppose a special folder would suffice just as well.

In these lines of code, G: is my cdrom, know your drive letter and replace as needed:)
