I agree with it. Наличе 10 Venetian Galeass create battle conditions. In this case it is necessary to have own battle fleet, and it is better also from 10 ships. 10 Tekkousen will approach for this purpose, where till 300 men by each ship and 100 gold guns. And if the navigators have skill of artillery and navigation 13, it is possible to not worry about results.

There is at me one question. As I play from time to time, it would be desirable to see Joao Franko in a plot Catalina after his defeat at the end of game by the new ships... It would seem all has made for this purpose, but he persistently sits in the port and does not occur. I do not know what to do.

The only time I want to see 10 VGs in a fleet that I am going to attack is when I am trying to level the other navigators in battle. That is not really necessary or that big of a deal, but you can do just as well or better attacking fleets of Galleons. Eh, whatever works for you.

I don't know how to get Joao out of the port if you aren't trying to recruit him. It might work if you destroy all of the Portuguese fleets after defeating his fleet.

Any information that I provide is based on the SNES version unless otherwise specified. I have thousands of hours into New Horizons and I have played it since it was released in the US on the SNES.

This way allows to get rid of all acquired ranks at the state. It can become useful, for example, when the large glory of "opening". Further, when the defect of other country is received, the governor can offer to find " hidden treasure ".

Is the governor asking you to find the "hidden treasure" because the adventure fame is now the highest fame you have?

I meant that the governor can offer to find " hidden treasure " more often in that case, when parameter of glory of "opening" is high. Here again there is a certain problem. The king of the country during reception of a set of ranks can differently offer the tasks. I precisely know, that at presence of high glory of "opening" (and it about 40000) the governor offers not less once to find " hidden treasure " and be more often it the opening, known for all can already.

It is possible to go on cunning and not receiving new ranks highly to lift glory of "opening". In this case chance receive the task on search " hidden treasure " above. But the king, as is known, is far from being always such offers, and he is more often asks " to travel and to bring news about opening villages " or to attribute the document in other country. After a rank "duke" of the task stop.

Therefore I had idea to accept defect of other country already having ranks "duke". But before it is necessary анулировать all merits before the friendly country to begin to receive ranks at other governor. It is possible only after an attack on fleet of the state. A bit later there is a message, that your name and rank is forgotten. After that it is possible to accept defect of other state and to begin a service anew. Has noticed, that after that measures the glory of "opening" does not decrease. Also there was an idea, that each of 6 kings of game offers to find only certain " hidden treasure ". Each of can offer not less than three treasure, therefore I think, that of kinds " hidden treasure " in game not less than 18.

At present I have not checked up all this idea to the full, as on it a lot of time is necessary. And for the beginning it is necessary to open all map of the world and villages. But you see new horizons yet is not investigated, as each day there are new non-standard ideas. 🙂

Sadly the game doesn't have 18 treasures. There are only 7 that can be requested by the rulers. The gold mask, the jade table, the statue with eyes, the obsidian lithograph, the crystal of darkness, the pot of fire, and the sword of destiny. In some versions the names may be a bit different, like the sword of destiny may be called the sword of truth or something like that. If you defect to another country then it might be possible to get the same quest twice, but I've never tried anything like that.

There are two other items that require a map and both of those are in Pietro's game, the gold medallion and the staff of Poseidon and they are story items (not requested by a ruler).

I do not know, somebody collided with it. Has found out casually, that when have a map for " hidden treasures " it is possible to go in any building of cartography and to choose item "Locate". For 2000 gold he will give provisional coordinates treasures.

I just "use" the map and I know where the location is, without any additional cost. 😉

I shall continue a theme about " hidden treasure ". Playing for Joao I have served to a rank "duke". For all ranks the governor of Portugal has offered me to find 2 treasure: Sword of Destiny and Pot of Fire. After that I some times attacked of the Portuguese trade fleet and my rank cancelled. In harbour have informed, that the king searches for me. I have come to the governor and me have said that on the image. Probably, it that the attitudes with the country have reached 36 enmities, and me have not wanted to let in the lock. Though thus the loyalty to Portugal still was. As is known, when attack the pirates, parameter of the attitudes with the country is increased, and I attacked some fleet of the pirates. The ambassador it is the king of Portugal has let me and beginnings to give the tasks for increases of ranks anew. And during increase of ranks he has offered me also to find Crystal of Darkness. It is possible to make a conclusion, that the way anew to collect ranks at the governors is effective, and it is possible to try to find new " hidden treasure ". 😎

It still seems a bit extreme to me just to get new treasure quests from the ruler. I'd just start a new game with the same character or even a different character.
