I never thought of noting when I found the treasures, but I definitely remember the Sword of Destiny. The Pot of Fire sounds familiar, but I can't say for certain that I found it before. Of course the locations of the treasures are different each time, so I like those quests. I have played the game enough that I know where to look as soon as I get a map for the treasure.

You should post those in the Hidden Treasures list that you can find on the home page. Do you have the descriptions?

Any information that I provide is based on the SNES version unless otherwise specified. I have thousands of hours into New Horizons and I have played it since it was released in the US on the SNES.

The interesting moment has found out at a gain of fleet of the contender. To what the sum of money received after a victory is connected? I have come to a conclusion, that than the country and than more at it(her) of ports is more advanced, the more gold it is possible to receive after capture. For example, for dominant fleet of Turkey (at which was at that moment about 50 ports) after a victory in fight gave of 124 thousand gold. Spain and Italy seldom have the political superiority, and for their plundered fleet give a little gold.

" To arrange on job Joao Franัo ". ๐Ÿ˜›

Joao Franco in a plot Catalina Erantzo can be employed by the navigator. When the plot Catalina approaches to the end, Joao comes on 10 Fregate. In case of destruction of fleet Joao he informs, that the game will be never completed. However, it is possible to take away and to sell it(him) Fregate, and itself Joao now remains by the navigator in port Nantes. To employ it(him) on job it is not simple, he is more often refuses. Joao the participations in game are farther and does not occur with new fleet, but to employ it(him) all the same probably. The level of his(its) skills of attack and navigation grows and is comparable with a level Catalina and also grows.

It does seem to relate to the "profit" a country is getting from allied ports. I know that when you approach having control of all the ports there are some strange and interesting things that happen. One of the favorite things is that defeating a fleet will get you 6.5 million gold (I don't remember if that is just pirates or all fleets). Defeated fleets start to appear with strange formations, for example you may see a fleet with barges and balsas.

I never tried to recruit Joao, but I have heard that it can be done. I have also heard that it glitches the game to recruit him.

Interestingly. And it is possible in more detail under the first paragraph (?), and on translation it is not absolutely clear. Never saw of fleet at the contender with Barge and Balsa, how it can be made?

When you are near to having all 94 ports allied there are some interesting things that take place. There are 100 ports, but 6 of those are home ports and you can't invest in those. One of the interesting things that happens is that defeating a pirate fleet will get you 6.5 million gold (as I said above, I don't remember if it is just pirate fleets or all fleets).

As you get close to getting all the ports allied you will also notice a change in the fleets when you use view while at sea. At least the fleets that you have defeated before will have a few new style large ships and then the rest of the fleet will have small ships such as balsa or dhow.

Obtaining all the ports that can be allied is referred to as a world domination game.

The capture of all ports it is uneasy. It is necessary a lot of gold, and the contender always tries to grasp other ports. I saw a new kind of the defeated ports playing for Otto, but it was already very old preservation, the levels of attack and navigation were on 100, thus the year of game was 1542. Into fleet of the dealers of the contender entered Brigantine, Caravela Redona and defeated fleet, which consist from Venecian Galleas occurred any more in structure 10 Venecian Galleas, half from a bottom replaced Flemish Galleon. Flemish as the ship is pleasant to me.

Nevertheless never arose ideas to grasp all ports!

The present news was that the game comes to an end in 1554. But I never reached before. What will take place in this case? It is possible to try on a high-speed mode to hold on about such years. ๐Ÿ™‚

Normally that is what you will see from a fleet that starts the game with Flemish Galleons, they will have Venetian Galleass after being defeated if they get another fleet. The only thing that I don't like is the low capacity of the Flemish Galleons, but they can be decent ships at the start of the game.

Getting all of the ports is a difficult task and there is a second requirement to see some of the strange things happen. You also need to have most of the ports at or near their maximum of 1000 economy and 1000 for the shipyard. That isn't as difficult as it may sound because the merchant fleets from your country will be investing 50,000 each month, so they will help you gain and maintain control. You still need to watch and check with the guild to see where everyone is going, or be on very good terms with waitresses.

Yes, the game ends in 1554 because you become too old to sail. There is a short ending sequence, but you should be able to accomplish anything you want by then. High-speed mode would be the best way to get that.

In the emulator sega (and also like and in snes) there is a mode Netplay in adjustments. There to understand simply, as in a choice of games at connection and creation server is " new horizons ". Really it is possible to battle in game on a network? If somebody knows something, please, inform!

Also it is possible to try to create a server and to play in online.

I'm not sure how netplay works and I am more of a single play person myself. I've never heard of anyone playing this game on netplay either. Since there is only a single character option I don't see how it would be possible in this game, but maybe someone else can help you with that.
