Post Good trade route near Sakai?

I was wondering what are the best trade routes near Sakai and Nagasaki? I'm investing in the ship yards right now and don't want to go back to Europe till I get a fleet of Teko's.

I know silver from Nagasaki to Sakai is good but it seems to be only one way as everything Sakai is selling brings no profit when going back to Nagasaki.

What I usually do is run a route of gold/silver between Nagasaki and Mombasa (east Africa). This works best if you have ships with oars because there is an area east of Mombasa that has no wind.

Starting in Nagasaki with a fleet load of silver it takes about 20 days to get to Mombasa by sailing south to the point near Sunda (the point where the two long islands almost touch) and then straight west to Mombasa.

In Mombasa sell the silver to lower the price of gold and fill the fleet with gold. Sail east until you can see those two islands I mentioned and after going between them angle northeast until you can head due north with an island just to your right. There will be a little break and another island which is just south of Zeiton.

Anyway, the round trip is about 40 days or a little more and if you start right after the first of the month you only need to wait around for the end of the next month to make your investments and start again. I do the same thing while building my Tekks.

Does that sound like what you want?

Any information that I provide is based on the SNES version unless otherwise specified. I have thousands of hours into New Horizons and I have played it since it was released in the US on the SNES.

Yes and thank you. I'm using the Venetian Galeass ships right now. Right now I can only sale for 15 days at a time. I'll lost some crew and refit all but my main ship so I can travel longer.

Do I need to keep this rat poison with me since I got a cat now as once I get my teko's I'm going to travel to the new world to do that part of the story line.

No, once you get the cat you don't need the rat poison. Those are the ships I normally have when I run the route when building the economy in Nagasaki and Sakai. You could add a stop in Sunda, if you wanted to keep your crew.

Which story are you playing?

Wen I was a kid I beat Ali's, then the pirate lady (forgot her name now lol) and Joeo's. I never new of the full rigid or the teks at the time. This time I'm playing Otto's story line and just beat it last night. It took me almost about 50 days round trip with the Venetian to do that trade route. I love how fast the teks move. Got from and to Europe and the new world in less than 20 days with them while still having a full crew load for battle. I spent 1010 days to complete his story line.

Porcelain from Macao to Ceylon gives a nice profit even when you first start. I pay 35 and sell for 204.
It a good profit for a short one way route. Once I get the Duke title, the profit is even greater.

Way of trade set. And if you are going to to be sent from Europe in the party Nagasaki and Sakai, buy more more than glasswares in Venice, it is second for the price the goods in game (after gold), in such ports as Sakai, Nagasaki, Macao, Zeyton for a commodity unit of glasswares give about 450 gold.

You can also buy Glassware in Copenhagen, which is closer to Sakai than Venice by a week.
