As anyone tried Patrician on PC? I got a brand new copy of Patrician 2 a few years ago and I played for about an hour and got bored because the trading was limited to the Hansa territories (Northern Europe).
I still enjoy New Horizon after all these years and I haven't found one game that equal it's re playability.

I've wanted to try Patrician for years, but I can't find the game.

I agree about New Horizons. I have played Gemfire quite a bit, mostly on the NES version. One game that I like quite well and has some of the re-playability is Master of Magic, but it is a different type of game. Ogre Battle is another that I like, but again it is different.

Any information that I provide is based on the SNES version unless otherwise specified. I have thousands of hours into New Horizons and I have played it since it was released in the US on the SNES.

Hi all. First post for me.

Good to see pockets of fans still actively discussing this amazing game. I grew up playing romance of 3 kingdoms 2 on PC which I have still kept playing several times a year when bored. Have to say that game is no challenge even after self imposed restrictions like not hiring soldiers, not recruiting prisoners of war still manage to beat the game in 2 years or 3.

Anyway having played Uncharted 1 many years ago on PC, only stumbled upon this gem 4 years or so ago and have been hooked since.

Also tried Genghis 2 and romance 3 neither I liked very much and stopped after 1 game each. Have to say for me UWNH and romance 2 are most replayable. Also trying my hand at Bandit kings - thought it would be a breeze given my extensive romance 2 experience but I was surprised how difficult it was - may need to resort to FAQs to crack that one now.

You will find an excellent faq for Bandit Kings on gamefaqs. :p

That is another game I have played WAY too much.

ya thanks Chaoyun2k. Perhaps I am getting old, preferring all these old Koei games to the new games on the market...

If you are looking for Patrician I think you can find it on abandonware websites. However if you want to pay for a copy it may be difficult to find. I read reviews of that game but being restricted to the Hanseatic league ports is a bit of a deal breaker for me. Anyway I have UW2 and then Bandits to go through first 🙂

Okay, this thread has been inactive for almost a year.
Did you know that the Three Kingdoms TV series can be found on YouTube (with English translation).
I've watched 8 episodes already. It's as good as the book believe me!
If you're a true fan like me you'll want to watch it!
I'll be watching episode 9 tonight. 😀

Whose are you watching? The couple I checked were not English.
